Thus far, my Shattered Time: Through the Looking Glass build a line challenge is coming along swimmingly! Perhaps even the Bloody Red Queen herself would be impressed with my progress. Thank you so much for joining me on this next step of my journey!
After the first blog hop, and after reading and joining many discussions on the creative group page, I realized that I was making things at the “top of the pyramid”–and that I needed to start scaling things down to diversify my price points. Here is the completed first necklace which I was making during the first blog hop:
Then I took the cohesive chain element plus some of the parts from this necklace to create a scaled-down version. This piece contains some of the Through the Looking Glass elements, and it would be at a mid-range price point:
Next I took it a step further, keeping the cohesive chain elements, and utilizing the teapot and the Mad Hatter’s favorite apparel (both purchased from B’Sue Boutiques). These are at an even lower price point on the “pyramid”:
I’m very happy with the cohesiveness of the line. They share elements and they match my design aesthetic. I think you can tell they all came from the same designer!
Here’s a cuff I made–this would be at a higher price point, as it took quite a while to finish and has a lot of pieces involved:
Here’s a couple pictures of two other items I’ve made for the line. Once again, just trying to incorporate different pieces which might appeal to a wider range of people:
Last but not least, a picture of my work area tonight. I’m planning on continuing further down the creative rabbit hole!
Thank you so much for checking up on my progress! I’m looking forward to seeing everything my fellow designers have created during this blog hop, part two. Leave a comment if you’d like and enjoy the rest of the hop!
GREETINGS and WELCOME to the second installment of a trilogy of blog hops for the BUILD A LINE challenge and master class!

Oh I’m loving your line Erin! It has come together beautifully I think. A very distinct and recognizable look. Well done!
I just LOVE that cuff bracelet. I also really like the simple pendant necklaces. I think that many will like them even if they’re not necessarily into the steampunk thing.

Erin, I want to tell you that the “bloody Red Queen” will definitely be stopping by your blog and checking out your line. I was telling my daughter about it. She is the Red Queen at heart. When I told her that one of the ladies was doing and Alice line, she flipped out! As for myself, I love your Alice theme and think you have scaled down your pieces very nicely. I’m a bracelet person and especially like them but all the work is great.

looks like you are really steam-rolling along — I think I like your simplier pieces best, like the bracelet on leather with the center piece on it. that one looks really balanced

My Hat’s off to you! You’re doing some really marvelous pieces. Steampunk & Stories are parts of my future plans, & my fingers get anxious to finish this line and get to work on the other plans. But WOW That cuff is out of this world & the work & workmanship is amazing. If you hop down the rabbit hole be sure to come back after tea, I’d love to see what you make in your Wonderland!

That cuff is spectacular! And I love the bracelet piece with chains. Of course, your theme is dynamite, and you could do whole lines of Dr. Who, Wizard of Oz, Country Western Steampunk (LOL), and who knows what else! Really enjoyed seeing how you stepped it out and so whimsical! Your resin has a lovely darker glittery feel–how did you do that? :):)
